Mora Rocks the Parks 2026 Medallion Hunt
Get ready for an exciting summer adventure the whole family can enjoy with our Mora Rocks the Parks Medallion Hunt! This fun-filled challenge is perfect for kids looking to explore, solve clues, and uncover hidden treasure in Mora City Parks. Each week, we’ll release new clues that bring you closer to discovering a hidden medallion. It’s a perfect way to spend quality time, explore your surroundings, and make lasting memories. Gather your friends, put on your thinking caps, and join the hunt—let the adventure begin!
Medallion Hunt Week 1: July 6-10
Medallion Hunt Week 2: July 13-17
Medallion Hunt Week 3: July 20-24
Medallion Hunt Week 4: July 27-31
Rules
The medallion hunt will take place during 4 separate weeks. Each week there will be one medallion hidden in one of the City of Mora Parks. Parks include Sunrise Park, Oak Park, the Skate Park, Keystone Park, Kids Kingdom, Peterson Park, Ole Park, Library Park, and the Jaycee’s Ball Fields.

There will be 5 clues for each Medallion with the first clue being posted each Monday on this webpage. New clues will be posted daily by 9am, Monday – Friday. Clues will be posted at Mora City Hall and the Kanabec County Public Health Building as well as the Better Together Coalition website & social media. Once the medallion has been found, we will share the news at these same locations.
- Each medallion is hidden in a Mora City Park. Parks are open to the public from 6am-10pm, please only search during open park hours.
- Please, do NOT dig in the ground or climb trees. The medallion is hidden above ground and no higher than 5 feet.
- Kanabec County Community Health and the City of Mora reserve the right to discontinue the medallion hunt at any time if public property is destroyed or people are searching on private property.
- If you find the medallion, please take a photo and text ph. 320.942.1497
- Please put it back in the same place, others can continue to hunt for fun
- If you find the medallion after the initial winner, take a photo and text ph. 320.942.1497 to be entered into a raffle that will be drawn after all 4 medallions have been found
Clues
Medallion Hunt Week 1: July 6-10
Clue 1: Welcome back to another summer Medallion Hunt! This week, stretch your legs and enjoy the great outdoors. You may find that the first clue is just the first step on your journey.
Clue 2: You won’t need a ball, a bat, or a skateboard this week—just a good pair of walking shoes. Some parks are made for games and playgrounds. This one is best explored one step at a time.
Clue 3: Watchful eyes monitor the hustle and bustle of those who pass below. Even with the industrial hard work nearby each day, nature can still find a place to thrive.
Clue 4: This hidden gem offers a KEY to adventure, where fresh air and wildlife can help you escape the ordinary.
Clue 5: As you follow the trail, don’t cross the LINE — but you may want to look along one. The Medallion will be on a boundary where you can see – no digging required.

Medallion Hunt Week 2: July 13-17
Clue 1: To begin our second week, you won’t need a fishing pole, a tennis racket, or a bicycle. Instead, let’s take a moment to appreciate the traditions of our forefathers that help make our community unique.
Clue 2: Time may weather stone, but it cannot erase a community’s history. Names may fade, and memories may grow distant, but the impact of our forefathers and those who came before us can still be seen today.
Clue 3: The journey isn’t always easy. It takes determination, endurance, and a willingness to keep moving forward—even when the path ahead seems long. Sometimes a Joke or two can help ease the journey.
Clue 4: Some reminders of our past are tucked away in museums, while others stand quietly in plain sight. At the end of one road, you’ll find a reminder of a beloved community tradition.
Clue 5: Some traditions are remembered because they were important. Others are remembered because they continue to bring people together year after year. The Medallion isn’t racing off anywhere, it is safely with the one who remains steadfast at the heart of the community.

Medallion Hunt Week 3: July 20-24
Clue 1: Summer is a wonderful time to step away from daily routines to try and find space for the things that matter most. Some of life’s best moments aren’t planned – they simply happen when we make room for them.
Clue 2: The rush between a million structured activities that pack weekly itineraries can be overwhelming, but not every memorable summer moment needs a special event. Sometimes all you need is a little green space and good company.
