Finding Balance During the Holiday Season: Managing Stress and Embracing Joy – Article

The holiday season is often called “the most wonderful time of the year,” but for many, it can bring increased stress and anxiety. A 2023 survey by the American Psychological Association found that 89% of U.S. adults feel stressed during the holiday season, with 41% reporting higher stress levels compared to other times of the year. This stress can lead to physical illness, depression, anxiety, and substance misuse. Fortunately, managing holiday stress is possible by prioritizing self-care and making mindful choices.

Parent/Guardian Technology Survey Results 

A survey for parent and/or guardians of children that attend school in Kanabec County was distributed by Mora Schools and Kanabec County Community Health in November of 2024. The survey results are completely anonymous and no identifying information will be shared. Survey results were initially shared at a Parent Education meeting on Wednesday, December 11, 6p – 7p, at the Mora High School.   

There were 66 respondents to this survey.
